Granit Xhaka is having an incredible season with Arsenal, where they are still in contention for the title in England.
However, in recent days, various news have circulated in England and Germany that the midfielder will leave Arsenal in the summer.
The German team Bayer Leverkusen is ready to offer a long-term contract to Xhaka, even though his departure from London seems very difficult.
Coach Mikel Arteta was also asked about Xhaka’s future, who said that he does not want to talk about such a thing.
The Spanish coach said that he is only interested in the next match and not to talk about the transfer market and the stories that connect Xhaka with other teams.
“I’m only focused on Brighton. I don’t want to answer such stories about Granit. He is an important player for us and we all have our minds only on the next game”, declared Arteta.
Xhaka has been part of Arsenal for seven years, while he has a contract with Arsenal until the summer of 2024.
The 30-year-old this season has played 44 official matches with the Londoners, scoring seven goals and assisting in seven others.
