Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said possession will be key to stopping Manchester City striker Erling Haaland tonight (Wednesday) evening.

Real meet City in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final with the first leg score 1-1.

In the meeting that will take place at the Etihad, everything is still open and Ancelotti has shown the steps of his team, where Haaland’s suspension is among them.

“In the first game we were outstanding in the way we played the ball from the back and it was difficult for them to win it back. This will also be an important factor tomorrow (today)”, Ancelotti initially said.

“Having more of the ball means less danger in defence. When we evaluate a team, we don’t evaluate just one player. We have to approach the game well in defense”.

“With my coaching staff, we thought if they have to score, they have to score early and that way we’ll have more time to recover.”

“I don’t think it will be too different from the first game, but you will see some changes from City and Madrid. There are things we can improve from last week and they can too.”

“But we won’t see such a different game in the first game. City have the best team in Europe at the moment and I’m sure it will be an exciting game with a lot of emotions”, concluded the Real coach.
