Aaron Ramsdale extends his contract with Arsenal

Arsenal have signed a new contract with goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who has shown great form this year.

The 25-year-old has already made 76 appearances for us in all competitions, with his performances also earning him a place in the England squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar last December.

Aaron joined Arsenal from Sheffield United in the summer of 2021 and enjoyed an excellent first season, keeping 14 clean sheets in all competitions and being voted Arsenal’s ‘Player of the Month’ in October and November 2021.

Ramsdale began his professional career with Sheffield United before joining AFC Bournemouth as an 18-year-old in 2017, where he made 37 Premier League appearances in the 2019/20 season.

He has also gained experience with clubs such as Chesterfield and AFC Wimbledon.

Sports director Edu and coach Mikael Arteta expressed their happiness that the goalkeeper has extended his contract with Arsenal.
