Luciano Spalletti provided a huge hint at his potential Napoli exit after the club’s 3-1 win over Inter, stating that the matter has already been decided.

Spalletti’s relationship with Aurelio de Laurentiis is said to have gone cold, with the manager said to be frustrated about the possibility of losing multiple key players and Cristiano Guintoli.

Napoli did pick up an entertaining 3-1 win over 10-men Inter today though, as a brilliant Giovanni di Lorenzo goal handed them all three points at the Maradona. After the win though, Spalletti’s words came as a hammer blow to Napoli’s future as he seemed to all but confirm his wishes to leave the club.

He told in the press conference: “The matter has been decided, it is not like you change your mind every day. It is a situation that has been brewing for some time. When you work from morning to night, some matters tend to mature in your mind, because you have to put this spectacle on all the time.

“If you are not convinced that you can give everything that these people deserve, it’s right to think it over. You think it over, you arrive at a conclusion and then you stick with it. This is not something that rained over all of us from out of nowhere.”

Spalletti is said to be burdened by life at the club and he feels that he could let the fans down, if the club don’t hold onto their prized assets and they may not be able to go a level up by challenging for the Champions League next season.
