Real Madrid are after Free Agent Roberto Firmino

This week, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Real Madrid will be on the lookout for a new striker this summer, with a back-up option for Karim Benzema a high priority for club officials.

Several names are on their shortlist, with one of them being Joselu Mato, who has been in excellent form for Espanyol this season despite the Catalan side’s disappointing run in La Liga.

Another player Real Madrid are eyeing is Roberto Firmino, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the Brazilian is one of four or five names the club are looking at in this summer’s transfer window.

The Brazilian will be a free agent at the end of the season, having opted not to sign a new contract with Liverpool, where he has been an unused substitute for most of this season.

Firmino’s style of play would suit Ancelotti’s 4-3-3 system, and given that he has a tendency to bring on a winger, he could be a great option to play alongside compatriots Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
