Angel Di Maria has confirmed that his contract with Juventus will not be extended, saying goodbye to the fans of the Italian club.
“I came at the end of a difficult and complicated period. I leave with peace of mind that I gave everything of myself for the club to try to win titles, but it was not possible.”
“I leave with a bitter taste for not achieving success, but with the joy of having many friends with me in the wonderful locker room I was a part of.”
“Thanks to all my teammates for the love they showed me from day one, I’ve always felt at home. I salute all Juventus for their daily love.
“A big hug. I will keep you in my heart”, he wrote, among other things, in the post of the Argentine on Instagram.
The 35-year-old joined Juventus last summer as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain, signing a one-year contract.
Di Maria has made 40 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists.
