Zlatan Ibrahimovic has spoken out on the saga surrounding Kylian Mbappe, after Paris Saint-Germain did not take the Frenchman in pre-season training and want to sell him this summer.

The club has understood that the French star wants to leave for free next year and PSG does not want to allow this.

In an interview with Canal+, PSG legend Ibrahimovic spoke about Mbappe’s situation with the club.

“Did he do a good thing when he extended his contract with PSG? Not for himself, but for PSG. He put himself in a situation where he is more important than the club, but you can never be bigger than the club. And when a kid gets that powerful, he makes easy money. Then his parents become agents”.

“This is where you lose your self-discipline and identity. Today, with this new generation, parents, fathers, mothers, whoever you want, they think they have become stars.”

“They talk a lot in the media, but they should shut up. It’s up to the boy to work and be disciplined,” Ibrahimovic said.

The Swede played for four seasons at the Paris club, where he scored 115 goals in 180 games.
