Lazio are negotiating a deal with Chelsea for Callum Hudson-Odoi and are now leading the race for his signature, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The Biancocelestes are on the hunt for a new winger and have looked at a number of options in recent weeks, from Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi to Bologna’s Riccardo Orsolini.
Lazio have completed just one signing so far this summer, taking striker Valentin Castellanos from New York City FC.
As pointed out by Romano, Lazio’s talks with Chelsea over Hudson-Odoi are progressing well and the winger is ready to make the move to Rome.
An unnamed Premier League side are also interested in the 22-year-old and Fulham have also been linked with a move.
Hudson-Odoi has just one year left on his Chelsea contract, so the deal would have to be an outright transfer, unless he signs a one-year extension to facilitate a loan move.
