Marco Asensio joined French giants Paris Saint Germain this summer after leaving Real Madrid as a free agent.
The winger has also revealed the reason why he decided to move to Ligue 1, despite the fact that there were offers from La Liga and the English Premier League.
Asensio has said that he immediately liked the club’s project and that he is in Paris to win important trophies.
“The first talks with PSG were very positive, they explained the whole project to me. And to be honest, I was tempted there after I saw all the ambition of the Parisians, it’s a very interesting club and that’s why I’m part of them now”.
“The first impressions about PSG are very positive, everyone has welcomed me very well, starting from the players to the technical staff. I think this is the right club to continue with trophies and victories.
He went on to reveal that he had asked his former French teammates at Real Madrid about Ligue 1 and they all praised the elite French championship.
“I asked some of my friends like Benzema, Camavinga and Tchouameni about Ligue 1 and they all said good things to me. The French championship is very physical and also has technical players”.
“It is a big club, one of the biggest in Europe. I know Luis Enrique, he is the coach I was with at the World Cup with Spain. We have a very good relationship and I hope we achieve success at PSG”, said Asensio.
