Saudi Arabia’s bid to bring the world’s best players to the Middle East continues, with Antoine Griezmann the latest target.

According to journalist Achraf Ben Ayad, Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal recently made an offer for Griezmann of around €40 million, although it is not yet clear how much the Frenchman would earn in wages.

The Frenchman has just found his stride again at Atletico, and it looks like he is set to lead Los Colchoneros into battle this season.

While it’s not impossible that an offer of that size would turn the heads of even a player like Griezmann, it would be a surprise if he were to head to the Middle East.

It seems a strange time for Al Hilal to make offers for Griezmann as well, while they are openly targeting Kylian Mbappe.

Al Hilal’s aim appears to be to transfer Griezmann to pair him with Mbappe and make the Paris Saint-Germain star more comfortable in Saudi Arabia.
