Arsenal reject Inter’s offer for Folarin Balogun

Arsenal have reportedly rejected an offer from Inter for Folarin Balogun.

According to FC Inter News, the Italian club approached the Gunners with a fixed fee of 30 million euros, with five million in additional bonuses, but the latter hope to receive up to 55 million euros.

Inter’s first bid is understood to be what the Nerazzurri were willing to pay for Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku, who was expected to rejoin Simone Inzaghi’s side permanently following his 2022-23 loan.

Balogun faces an uncertain future in North London after his successful season with Reims, where he scored 21 times in 37 Ligue 1 games.

The American has been integrated into Mikel Arteta’s squad during their pre-season friendlies, but he may struggle to secure regular first-team starts for the Gunners next season.

But, the amount requested by the English runner-up is high for Inter and they can leave the competition.
