Atalanta and Manchester United have agreed a transfer fee for Rasmus Hojlund, who is expected to be transferred for €75 million plus €10 million in add-ons.

Multiple sources this evening all confirm at the same time that the deal is effectively done.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the cost of the operation is €75 million plus another €10 million in various performance-related bonuses.

He has already agreed personal terms, a five-year contract with an option for a sixth, and had pushed for a move to Old Trafford, so a medical is scheduled within 48 hours.

Tuttomercatoweb suggests the salary is five million euros net per season, compared to the €600,000 he earned at Bergamo.

La Dea never wavered from their asking price, confident they were in a strong enough negotiating position to push the Premier League side into paying.

He represents a huge return for the directors at Bergamo, who bought Hojlund from Sturm Graz a year ago for €17.2m.

Incredibly, Hojlund’s value has skyrocketed in the space of 18 months as Sturm Graz paid €1.95m to sign him from FC Copenhagen in January 2022.

He scored nine goals and provided four assists in 32 Serie A appearances.

Atalanta already have the Dane’s replacement as they completed the record signing of El Bilal Toure from Almeria for €30m including bonuses.
