Yann Sommer is Inter’s main target in the goalkeeping department, as the Black and Reds have been left without a goalkeeper.
After the departure of Andre Onanas and Samir Handanovic, Inter intends to strengthen the goal with the Swiss representative who has expressed his willingness to leave Bayern.
And the coach of the Bavarians, Thomas Tuchel, has also spoken about his future, saying that Sommer is very important for the team, but that they cannot let him leave.
“I know that there is a desire on the part of the player to leave, but at this point we must also protect the interests of the club. Sommer is a great goalkeeper and is very important in the dressing room thanks to the experience he has.”
“It is not an easy moment for him, as he has a contract with Bayern and I can stay in Munich again. But, on the other hand, we cannot prevent the goalkeeper from even thinking about other alternatives”.
“However, at the moment Sommer is the goalkeeper of Bayern Munich, while Neuer is working to return as soon as possible”, said Tuchel.
Bayern have an agreement with Inter to sell the Swiss for six million euros, but will not let the goalkeeper leave until a new one is found in Munich.
