Robert Lewandowski had a quite successful first year at Barcelona, where he managed to win the La Liga title.
However, despite clinching the La Liga title, Barcelona stumbled in Europe as they were first eliminated from the Champions League and then from the Conference League.
The Polish striker hopes that in his second year at Camp Nou, he will also achieve triumph in the UEFA Champions League with his Barcelona side.
“I always say that age is just a number; when I wake up in the morning, I don’t think I’m getting old. Then I see the tests during medical check-ups, and everything is fine, the parameters are in order.”
“Sometimes, I feel even better than when I was young. The sports of these recent years have undergone many changes from the past, and I take great care of my physique, improving it every day. I know very well what I need to do to stay in shape; when I face the young players in the team, I even get more energy,” Lewandowski said.
Furthermore, the Polish forward talked about his departure from Bayern Munich and stated that he left because he wanted to change his lifestyle.
“I wanted to change my lifestyle; I wanted a different country, a new language, and new people. I had always dreamed of playing in Spain, and it was the right moment to move.”
“At Bayern, I won everything, I achieved records and titles. I was happy there, but I felt it was the right moment to move,” Lewandowski expressed to ‘L’Equipe’.
