Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are now reportedly offering wages in excess of €1m-a-week for Victor Osimhe, but he remains determined to sign a new contract with Napoli.
The Nigerian became the first ever African to be crowned Serie A Capocannoniere with 26 goals in 32 Serie A games last season on their way to the Scudetto.
His current contract expires in June 2025 and his agent has had several meetings with president Aurelio De Laurentiis to discuss a renewal.
The sticking point seems to be the release clause, which Napoli wants to set at a minimum of 150 million euros, while Osimhen’s representatives are asking for 110 million euros.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Al-Hilal have not yet given up on Osimhen and are offering him wages of over 1 million euros per week.
At the age of 24, Osimhen has no intention of moving to the Saudi Pro League at this stage of his career.
Napoli paid €75 million plus bonuses to sign him from Lille in September 2020.
Al-Hilal still haven't given up on Victor Osimhen and have offered him close to £1m-per-week. Saudi side have already had a bid rejected. Al-Hilal looking for one more box-office signing after failing to sign Messi and Mbappe.
