Roger Ibanez accepts Al-Ahli’s offer

Sky Sport Italia report that Roma defender Roger Ibanez has agreed personal terms with Al-Ahli and is closing in on a €30 million move, despite interest from Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.

The centre-back has been on the market all summer and selling him would give them the funds needed to find a new striker.

Nottingham Forest were rumored to have made a bid in recent days, while Aston Villa were also mentioned as a destination for the player.

However, Ibanez was not keen on making a move to the Premier League for the teams who would be fighting for survival.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ibanez has now agreed personal terms with Al-Ahli for a move to the Saudi Pro League.

Although an agreement has not yet been reached with Rome, this is not expected to be much of a problem.
