AS Roma plans the transfer of Arnautovic

Corriere dello Sport reports that Roma have submitted an offer to Bologna for veteran striker Marko Arnautovic.

The Giallorossi have been in the market for a new centre-forward for several weeks now, having to strengthen their front line following the serious injury suffered by Tammy Abraham in the closing stages of last season.

After moving on from previous targets such as Gianluca Scamacca and Alvaro Morata, Roma have focused their efforts on Santos’ Marcos Leonardo, who may prove impossible to move from Brazil.

Corriere dello Sport reports today how Roma have offered Bologna around €3.5m for Arnautovic, who has two years left on his contract in Emilia-Romagna.

Further talks are needed as the Rossoblu want at least €10m for the 34-year-old Austrian striker, who scored 10 goals in 21 Serie A appearances last season.

A new offer may be submitted in the coming days, perhaps using bonuses to try to close the gap between the initial proposal and the price.
