‘Do you know why we lost three Community Shields in a row?’ – Guardiola teases rivals after defeat by Arsenal

Arsenal ended their run of losses to Manchester City in all competitions by winning on penalties in their FA Community Shield challenge.

Mikel Arteta had only beaten his former mentor once, while last season he was left behind in the Premier League title race, even though the Gunners had led the race for most of the season.

City also won the FA Cup and Champions League to complete the historic treble, but this was the third time in a row that they have lost the Community Shield.

This trophy was a great opportunity for Arsenal to prove that it can be a strong competitor for the champion in the 2023/2024 season.

However, at the press conference, Guardiola teased the rivals saying: “We lost three (Community Shields) in a row! Do you know why? We won three Premier Leagues!”
