According to Sky Sports, talks over a move for Tyler Adams from Leeds United to Chelsea have broken down.

The London club had activated the release clause of 25 million euros in the midfielder’s contract.

However, Chelsea and the player’s representatives were unable to reach an agreement, Sky Sports added.

The London outfit are currently preparing to beat Liverpool in the race for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, who has been their top target all summer.

The deal for Adams was reportedly unrelated to the Caicedon talks.

However, the transfer of the American to Stamford Bridge will not happen.
