Neymar’s return to Barcelona has been a hot topic of discussion recently.
When new Blaugrana captain Sergi Roberto was asked if he was excited about the Brazilian’s potential move, the defender revealed what he has discussed with him.
“Of course, I’m excited. He is my ex-boyfriend and a friend. We have experienced many good things together. When he was in the team, those were some of the best years I’ve had here at Barça. We won everything”, said the defender.
“He’s a very different player to everyone else, I’m sure he would help us a lot, but in the end it’s not me who decides. So the decision-makers, regardless of whether he comes or not, will decide what is best for the club.”
“What we want is to have the best possible team to compete for everything and have the best players.”
“I talked to him (recently). I can’t give details, it’s private, but he wants to come back, that’s for sure,” added Roberto.
The Catalans are actively exploring ways to incorporate the Brazilian star into their squad, but it all depends on financial factors.
