Arsenal won 2-1 at home against Nottingham Forest in the match valid for the first week of the 2023/24 season in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta’s side have made a positive start to the new season, beating Nottingham and hoping to win the league title this season, having only lost it in the last few weeks to Manchester City.
The first half of the match was characterized by better play and dominance by Arsenal, who managed to score two goals in addition to numerous opportunities.
The first goal came in the 26th minute through Eddie Nketiah, who scored after a masterful assist from Gabriel Martinelli, while Bukayo Saka (32′) scored a super goal from distance for a 2-0 lead.
In the second half, Arsenal was again the better team creating more, but it was the guests who scored the only goal in this half.
The only goal in this half came in the 82nd minute through Taiwo Awoniyi who scored 2-1 and that turned out to be the final score of the match.
In the next game, Arsenal travel to Crystal Palace, while Nottingham host Sheffield United.
