Can Ramos return to Real Madrid after Militao’s injury

Real Madrid are not considering signing a new centre-back this month, although Eder Militao’s injury could force them into the market.

Club legend Sergio Ramos has been mentioned by the media as an emergency and comeback, but it looks like it won’t happen.

That’s as David Alaba, Antonio Rudiger and Nacho could cover the long-term absence of Eder Militao.

If one of them suffers an injury, Carlo Ancelotti is expected to bet on Real Madrid Castilla players – especially Marvel or Raul Asencio, both promising centre-backs who play for Raul’s side.

Another option is to convert some first team players to center backs. Ferland Mendy for example has made several appearances as a center back in his career.

Players like Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga could theoretically play centre-back as well.

Eder Militao has torn his ACL. He will be out for at least 6 months.
