It’s finally official Leandro Paredes is a new Roma footballer.
The Argentine midfielder returns to the Italian capital after six years since he left the Olimpico.
Paredes had stayed for two and a half years at the Italian club before moving to Russia to Zenit St Petersburg.
Roma has announced that the player has signed a two-year contract, while there is an option to continue for another year.
“Coming back to Rome is always a thrill, doing it to play for the Roma shirt is even more so,” said Paredes.
“I thank the fans for the welcome they gave me and the club that brought me back to the club that launched me in Europe: last year I experienced incredible joy with the World Cup, now I want to keep winning and I am convinced that I can. do it with this team”, declared Paredes.
The 29-year-old has played 54 games with the Roma jersey, where he scored four goals and assisted in two others.
