Luis Enrique confirmed that Kylian Mbappe will return to the Paris Saint-Germain team for the match with Toulouse after his ‘sentence’ is coming to an end.

A lot can change in a week. Ahead of PSG’s league opener against Lorient, the French superstar was still training with a group of teammates who were ‘unnecessary’ and Enrique issued a warning that “the club is above everything”.

Since then, team leaders have come to an understanding with Mbappe, “after very constructive and positive talks” and the former Monaco star has now re-integr ated back into the squad.

Enrique’s message has also undergone a significant change as the Spanish coach now described him as “perfect” and assured that he will be back in action at the weekend against Toulouse.

“Kylian is perfect from what I saw in training. He has a lot of desire and comes in a good state of mind. He is a world-class player and I am very happy,” Enrique told reporters.

Although the club and the player have found an amicable solution for now, Mbappe has not yet committed to a contract extension with PSG.

While there have been reports that the extension could come with a clause that guarantees he can be sold in 2024, it has also been discussed that the player will not extend but will instead forgo the massive loyalty bonus he has right so he can leave for free next summer.
