Stefano Pioli is pleased with Milan’s summer signings but admits more new faces could join the team in the final ten days of the transfer window.

The Reds make their 2023-24 Serie A debut against Bologna on Monday and the manager addressed the media at a press conference on Sunday.

Milan have sold Sandro Tonali to Newcastle while signing eight new players, but another signing is imminent as the Serie A giants are said to have agreed a deal for Platense defender Marco Pellegrino.

“Certainly, the directors of the club have followed my advice regarding the characteristics and roles of the players to have more options available,” declared Pioli.

“I’m happy. There are still ten days left to make transfers and we are attentive in every situation, but we are only focused on tomorrow’s game”.

“We must not forget that we have changed 20 players taking into account new signings and departures. A new season begins and we are ambitious because we have signed strong players”, added the Rossoneri strategist.

Milan could also sign a new centre-forward before the end of the summer transfer window.
