Barcelona has defeated Cadiz with a score of 2-0, taking the first victory in the new season in La Liga.
One of the best footballers in this match was undoubtedly the German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, who came to Barcelona this summer from Manchester City.
The coach of Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez, has not spared the good words for the German midfielder, saying that he has the DNA of the Catalans.
“Gundogan is a cornerstone for the team. He has Barca’s DNA. He never loses the ball, makes the difference with the ball and always makes the right decision,” Xavi told the media after Barcelona beat Cadiz 2-0.
“We signed him to make a difference and that’s what he’s doing,” said Barcelona’s Catalan coach.
Ilkay Gundogan was one of the best players against Cadiz. The German provided one assist, recorded five other key passes and recorded a high passing accuracy.
The 32-year-old was also fouled five times while winning four duels in the field. However, his arching is something to work on as only three of his 10 attempts were successful.
