Real Madrid and Celta Vigo will play the match of the third round of the Spanish championship tomorrow.
Real coach Carlo Ancelotti was asked a question at the pre-match press conference about Croatian midfielder Luka Modric, who is no longer in the Madrid club’s starting line-up, along with T oni Kroos.
The Spanish media even wrote that Modric is unhappy and that because of this status, he may seek a transfer to Saudi Arabia in the winter, from where he has already received and rejected rich offers.
But Ancelotti calms the situation, saying that he will get minutes.
“Luke in Saudi Arabia? He has already decided on his future. Obviously, he’s not happy about not playing, but he’ll get minutes. He is in good physical condition, no problems, he will help us. For many, this is an unusual season. “Modric is used to playing from the first minute, but he will certainly contribute to the team,” said Ancelotti.
The Croatian recently signed a new one-year contract with Real. He got a total of 28 minutes in two games this season – 10 against Athletic Bilbao (2-0) and 18 against Almeria (3-1).
On the other hand, he is expected to be in the starting lineup against Celta Vigo.
