Liverpool find Salah’s replacement in the Bundesliga

Liverpool have insisted that Mohamed Salah is not for sale despite a huge offer from Al Ittihad.

However, behind the scenes, the Reds have been assessing players who could replace the Egyptian with Juventus’ Federico Chiesa and Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix two names under consideration.

According to Caught Offside, the Saudi club are set to test Liverpool’s resolve to keep hold of their star with a €100m bid before the transfer window closes on Friday night in England.

But Calciomercato report that Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi is another player the Reds are considering, adding that he “stands out as the most attractive candidate”.

Adeyemi is a player Jurgen Klopp ‘really likes’ and it’s not hard to see why. Finishing last season in strong form, he scored 11 goals in his last 13 games.

Overall, he averaged 0.71 goals and assists per 90 minutes in his debut Bundesliga season. This is due to 32 goal contributions for Red Bull Salzburg in the 2021/22 season, including five in eight matches in the Champions League.
