The prestigious French magazine L’Equipe, as well as expert Fabrizio Romano, write that Aston Villa’s Brazilian footballer Philippe Coutinho is close to leaving for Qatar’s Al Duhail.
Not so long ago, Coutinho was considered the best player in the Premier League when he was wearing a Liverpool shirt, but since leaving Anfield, his career has started to decline rapidly.
In a €135m transfer, he became a new member of Barcelona, where he failed miserably at Camp Nou.
The Brazilian striker was expected to be the leader of a new Barcelona, but in Catalonia, Coutinho did not show even five percent of his football skills.
After the failure, they suffered loans to Bayern Munich and Aston Villa, who bought his contract and in which he is currently their player.
However, Coutinho could leave England again and replace him with the Arabian Peninsula.
According to Romano, Al Duhail are keen to have him in their ranks and the transfer is expected to take place by the end of today.
