“La Liga is not attractive” – Lewandowski accuses the Spanish referees of “killing” football

Speaking in an interview with the Polish newspaper Meczyki, Robert Lewandowski has given his honest assessment of La Liga referees.

The Polish striker who plays for Barcelona has said that referees in La Liga are killing football and the league is not attractive.

“La Liga is not attractive and attacking enough. The refs are killing the league. I did not expect that the Spanish teams would hesitate to play football”, said Lewandowski.

“Indeed, the fingers of two hands will not be enough to count how many controversial calls referees make in Spain every game.”

This season alone, there have been at least three occasions where Barcelona were not awarded a penalty.

Lewandowski isn’t going through a good run of form at the start of the season either, with just one goal and one assist.
