Jadon Sancho’s explosive statement on social media on Sunday was not authorized by Manchester United at all.
According to the Manchester Evening News , the forward could face disciplinary action after walking into the X to hit coach Erik ten Hag.
After the defeat at Arsenal, the Dutchman openly stated that Sancho was dropped from the squad due to his poor performance in training during the week.
However, this has not gone down well with the 23-year-old, who has released a statement on his X account, claiming he has behaved ‘very well’ in training and begging fans to believe him.
“Please don’t believe everything you read. I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue,” said the Englishman in opposition to Ten Hague.
“I have behaved very well in training this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I don’t want to go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time which is not fair.”
“All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.”
“I respect all the decisions made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and I’m grateful for this knowing that every week is a challenge.”
“I will continue to fight for this emblem no matter what,” added Sancho.
