The summer transfer window, Barcelona is the lowest spending club in the Champions League this season

The numbers are now in and Barcelona have been confirmed as the club with the lowest spending in the summer transfer window among the 32 clubs taking part in the Champions League this season.

Barca spent 3.4 million euros, which is less than Young Boys (3.9 million euros) and Antwerp (10.5 million euros).

Of course, PSG is the team with the biggest spending in the Champions League this season with a total expenditure of 349.5 million euros.

Joan Laporta’s administration has worked hard to reduce the club’s expenses and avoid any trouble with ‘Financial Fair Play’.

This is very different from when Josep Maria Bartomeu was president, spending 135 million euros to sign just one player like Phillipe Coutinho.

Today, Barcelona has managed to register five quality players by spending a little over 3 million euros.
