Gleison Bremer has thanked Juventus after a ‘difficult’ first season and revealed the attackers with whom he had the most difficulties, both of whom played for rivals Inter.

The Brazilian centre-back first came to Serie A for Torino in 2018 and cost around €50m in his transfer to Juventus in the summer of 2022.

“I arrived in Turin at the age of 21 and I needed time to adapt, especially to learn how to defend, which is very different in Italy compared to Brazil,” said Bremer first.

“It’s positioning your body, marking in the area, but the hardest challenge was learning the tactical aspects of defense.”

“It was a difficult year, but a year where I learned a lot and was called up to the Brazil squad for the World Cup, so I can only be grateful to Juventus.”

After five years in Italy, Bremer was asked to name the strongest strikers he has faced and picked two representing Juve’s biggest rivals Inter.

“Edin Dzeko was very difficult for both Roma and Inter, while Lautaro Martinez is also an unusual striker. Duvan Zapata, who is now in Turin, was very dangerous for Atalanta”, concluded the Brazilian.
