Klopp clashes with reporter over question about Salah’s transfer to Saudi Arabia

Jurgen Klopp lost his temper with a reporter during his pre-match presser against Wolverhampton Wanderers after being asked about rumors linking Mohamed Salah with a move to the Saudi Arabian Super League.

Al Ittihad submitted a €175 million bid for Salah before the final day of the Premier League transfer window, which was immediately rejected by Liverpool.

Reports claimed that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were set to return with a bid of over €250m before the transfer window closed on Thursday, but the bid never materialised.

However, The Athletic’s James Pearce was keen to know more about the matter, asking Klopp if Salah could move in January.

The Reds manager was in no mood to discuss the subject, responding and not reacting well.

“Are you kidding me? A week after the window closed, you ask me about a January transfer?! Can’t you wait until December to ask this question?”, Klopp first addressed the journalist.

“We will see what happens after until January. I’m not worried about that at the moment,” concluded the German.

Klopp also earlier expressed his disappointment with the fact that Saudi Arabia’s transfer window closes later than England’s.

Liverpool, on the other hand, face Wolves on the road in a game worth five weeks in the Premier League and are aiming for a fourth win in a row.
