Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has equaled a record set by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi with his latest goal for the club in Ligue 1.
Mbappe has already broken a number of football records in his short career to date, and is PSG’s all-time top scorer at the age of just 24.
The Frenchman looked set to leave the club for most of this summer due to a contract dispute, but was re-integrated into the squad after PSG’s season opener aga inst Lorient.
And Mbappe picked up where he left off, scoring five goals in his first three games before providing an assist in France’s win over the Republic of Ireland during the international break.
With the French forward not featuring in his club’s opening game of the season, Mbappe has now scored in every Ligue 1 game he has played this season.
He extended that record during PSG’s clash with Nice on Friday night, equaling another record set by Ronaldo and Messi.
Mbappe has now scored or assisted in 15 consecutive Ligue 1 games for PSG, dating back to April last season.
His goal against Nice equalized after Terem Moffi’s goal, but Luis Enrique’s side lost 3-2 in the end.
