PSG has started the new season in the Champions League, after defeating Borussia Dortmund with a clean score of 2-0.
Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi have been the goal scorers for the Parisians, but this loss has left a bitter taste for German defender Mats Hummels.
The center back of Borussia Dortmund has admitted after the match that it was a bad performance by the yellows, but there was criticism for the Spanish main referee of the match Jesús Gil Manzano.
Hummels did not hesitate to write a status on the ‘X’ platform otherwise known as Twitter, where he said that the Parisians’ penalty should not have been given.
The German said PSG’s win was deserved, but both the referee and Dortmund must improve in the second leg
“Bad performance from us with a deserved win for PSG. However, the judge was not up to par.”
“A lot of bad decisions like the penalty. So they and we have to improve for the second game”, wrote Hummels.
After the 2-0 victory over Dortmund, PSG leads Group F with three points, while Milan and Newcastle United have one point each.
In the next match, the Verdhezians face the Italian giant Milan in front of their fans at Signal Iduna Park.
