Inter drew 1-1 on the road to Real Sociedad in the first group game in the Champions League.
The European sub-champions have not achieved more than one draw against the Basques in the Group D match held at the “Reale Arena” stadium.
The first half of the match was characterized by the dominance of the locals, who, in addition to numerous occasions, managed to score one more goal.
The only goal in this half came in the fifth minute through Brais Mendez, who scored for 1-0 after Alessandro Baston’s blunder.
In the second half, Inter made some changes, returning to the game more dangerous, scoring two goals, but only one was regular.
Marcus Thuram (79′) scored after Carlos Augusto’s assist, but VAR canceled it for offside, while Lautaro Martinez (87′) was correct for 1-1.
Until the end, Inter threw themselves into the attack, risking several times, but they had no luck and in the end the match ended in a draw.
In the next match, the Nerazzurri welcome Benfica at home, while Sociedad travel to RB Salzburg.
