Barcelona has long been interested in signing the German talent Florian Wirtz and now it seems that he will be one of the main targets for the Catalans next summer.

The 20-year-old, who can play in a number of midfield positions, is being hailed as one of the most talented young players in Europe and Barcelona hope to sign him next year.

According to reports in Germany, an offer of €100 million would be needed for Barcelona to convince Bayer Leverkusen to part ways with Florian Wirtz.

Wirtz recently put behind him a serious injury and now he is again showing the quality he possesses.

So far this season, Wirtz has featured in seven games under Xabi Alonso, scoring three goals and providing as many assists.

He has previously admitted that he is a fan of Barcelona and the Catalans will try to use this in their favor.

But looking at Barcelona’s current financial situation, they are not in a position to offer the amount of money that Leverkusen is asking for Wirtz’s services.

Barcelona would have to make the sale of an important player before the possibility of signing the German midfielder would arise.

Gavi’s name has been mentioned earlier as one of the possible candidates for sale in the Blaugrana camp.

It has been Xavi who has made it clear in the past that Gavi plays a big part in his plans for the present and the future.

However, the Catalans are serious about signing Wirtz, and they will have to work to find a way to generate the revenue that will enable them to complete this transfer.
