Israeli football’s biggest talent Oscar Gloukh is looking to make the big step in his career and the 19-year-old was very close to a move to Barcelona this summer. However, if Real Madrid enter the race for him they will most likely get the green light.
Gloukh joined Salzburg this summer for €7m from Maccabi Tel Aviv and is already being regarded as one of the most talented players of his generation.
He has contributed 6 goals in 12 appearances, including a goal against Benfica in the Champions League, securing the Austrian side their first three points.
Barcelona was reported to be interested in securing Gloukh’s services before moving to Salzburg, which the footballer himself has confirmed.
“Barcelona contacted me when we had already closed everything with Salzburg,” said Gloukh.
If he were to accept a transfer to a team in Spain, Gloukh says that that team is Real Madrid.
“I have been a fan of Real Madrid since I can remember. My biggest dream is to play at the Bernabeu with a Real Madrid shirt. It would be the highlight for me”, concluded the 19-year-old.
Short, able to shoot with both feet and with a tricky technique, Gloukh will most likely move to one of Europe’s top five leagues and it is not out of the question that Real Madrid will call him if he continues with such performances.
