The Arab Super League in football has become a highly coveted destination for football stars who have left their mark on Europe’s biggest teams.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and many other stars have chosen to move to Arabia where they have also won big contracts.
The Swedish legend, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not held back in criticizing the stars who have chosen Arabia in an interview with Piers Morgan.
The former Swedish representative said that he also had offers from China and Arabia, but he rejected them.
“I also had an offer from China. I also had an offer from Saudi Arabia, but the situation is, what do you want? What objectives do you have?”, said Ibrahimovic.
“I said before we started, as some players have to end their career on the big stage because that’s the high end of your career. You should remember your talent, not what you won”, continued Ibra.
At the very end, Ibrahimovic said that you cannot go to a lower level and end your career.
“Because if you were to remember it the other way around, what we’re training for every day, what we’re known for, is our talent, and that’s what you want to remember.”
“So I think some players who reach a certain level, they have to stop at a certain stage, and this is the big stage.”
“You cannot go to a lower stage and finish your career in a different way. But some players needed situations where they could earn a lot of money because they didn’t earn enough,” said Ibra.
