Antonio Conte has broken his silence following growing reports that he is in talks to replace Rudi Garcia as Napoli manager.
The former Tottenham Hotspur manager has been out of work since his contract with the Premier League side ended by mutual consent at the end of March.
Sky Sport Italia reported that Conte would meet Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis in person to discuss Garcia’s replacement.
But, Conte has denied such a thing, saying that he is enjoying the time with his family.
“I hear persistent rumors linking me with important clubs, but I reaffirm that at the moment all I want to do is spend time and enjoy it with my family.”
However, reports continue to circulate that Napoli president De Laurentiis has decided he intends to sack Garcia after just five wins, two draws and three defeats between Serie A and the Champions League.
Conte has not worked in Serie A since securing the Scudetto at Inter in the 2020-21 season, but his other Italian clubs were Siena, Arezzo, Bari, Atalanta and Juventus.
