The two European giants in the race for Sancho’s services

Barcelona could reportedly try to sign Jadon Sancho on loan, offering the Englishman an ‘escape route’ from Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag has made it clear that the English winger will not play a single minute for the “Red Devils” if he does not apologize for the criticism made against him in public.

There have been reports that the club are willing to offload him in the January transfer window and are even willing to pay part of his wages to further facilitate his departure from the club.

According to the Catalan medium Sport, Barcelona has been made aware of the situation by the player’s agent. However, the Blaugrana will not consider a move, just in case they are able to sell someone in January.

Juventus is one of the clubs that are interested in securing the services of Sancho. However, they want to buy his card eventually, meaning Sancho will be available again in June.

Barcelona could then take the opportunity to sign him on a cut-price deal.

However, Sancho must also accept a significant cut in his salary to move to Camp Nou as the Catalan club will not be able to afford his current salary due to their financial situation.

Xavi would undoubtedly be delighted to have a quality player like Sancho at his disposal, however, Barcelona’s struggle with ‘Financial Fair Play’ could prove to be a stumbling block.
