It is revealed how much Barcelona have to pay to get Guimaraes

Earlier in the week, it was reported that Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes has a secret clause in his new contract that allows Barcelona to sign him on the cheap next summer.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano there is no such clause.

The transfer expert reports that Barça will have to pay over 100 million euros to sign the Brazilian midfielder.

At this price, Guimaraes is categorically out of reach for the Catalan club considering the severe financial restrictions placed on the club by La Liga.

Barcelona’s cash pool is likely to remain the same with the club opting to sign free agents such as Ilkay Gundogan. Or players who can arrive with deferred transfer fees like Ferran Torres and Raphinha.

Guimaraes is a magnificent midfielder who would immediately improve the midfield of the Catalan team, but the latter do not have the allowed capacities.
