Saudi clubs rival Real Madrid for coach Mourinho

Roma boss Jose Mourinho is among the candidates to replace Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid in 2024, but the Royals now have rivals from the Saudi Arabian Super League.

Mourinho’s current deal at the Stadio Olimpico expires in June and Sky Sport Italia recently reported that the Portuguese will not be extending his stay at the Italian club.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Mourinho is among Real Madrid’s candidates to replace Ancelotti next season, with the Italian expected to take charge of Brazil once his contract with Los Blancos expires.

Mourinho already coached Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, winning 127 of his 178 games in charge of the La Liga giants.

However, the ‘kidnapping’ of the Portuguese coach will not be easy as Saudi clubs have also set their sights on him.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Al-Ahli and Al-Ittihad are ready to offer 50 million euros per season to the Portuguese coach to secure his services from June 2024.
