Manchester United loanee Mason Greenwood was seen buying a meal from Burger King with his father after Getafe manager Jose Bordalas had banned players from junk food, risking a fine in the process.
The England striker is spending the season with the Spanish side, having failed to find a permanent exit from Old Trafford after being told he would not be returning to Erik ten Hag’s side.
Greenwood has been welcomed by the La Liga club but risked being disciplined after defying his manager’s strict orders.
According to The Sun, Bordalas routinely weighs his players and they are then fined if they are deemed too heavy as a result of eating fast food.
But Greenwood was in Burger King with his father Andrew after Friday’s training session in Madrid when his father went inside to buy two takeaways from the restaurant which could put the 22-year-old in a heated clash with Bordalas if one of them was for the player.
It remains unclear whether the United loanee has a special exception to the rule and the club have yet to publicly comment on whether he has been punished, but Greenwood played 78 minutes the following day as Getafe drew 1-1 at home to Real Betis.
