News about the teams

Xavi has already said in the conference that Pedri “will not be endangered” for today’s El Clasico. Ilkay Gundogan is much more likely to start, but Oriol Romeu is often favored for important matches.

Inigo Martinez could start in place of Andreas Christensen after impressing to keep a clean sheet against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, but the Dane is favourite.

Lamine Yamal played half an hour in that match and should be ready to start in his first El Clasico this Saturday, but Fermin Lopez is more likely.

Real Madrid

Eduardo Camavinga could play at left-back this weekend to prevent any tricky moves starting on the wings. The visitors will rely on their physicality in the center and push the ball as wide as possible in defence.

Vinicius and Rodrygo should be the two favorites to lead the attack, although Joselu’s inclusion would not be surprising.

Toni Kroos and Aurelien Tchouameni – both rested in midweek and should be ready to start this El Clasico, along with the more advanced Federico Valvderden and Jude Bellingham.

Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 10 matches in La Liga.

Real Madrid are unbeaten in 12 of their last 13 games in La Liga.

In the last five El Clasicos in La Liga, both teams have two wins and one match ended in a draw.

Real Madrid only have two major injuries in their squad right now, while Barcelona have all three key players sidelined with injuries.

If Barcelona were to win, they would be close to the leading Girona. On the other hand, a win for Los Blancos would cement their place at the top of the table alongside Girona.
