Marseille is expected to become the richest club in the world, with a budget of 200 million euros and with Zidane as coach

The Saudi public investment fund, which also owns Newcastle, should buy the Marseille team at the beginning of next year, and in this case Zinedine Zidane would sit on the bench of the former European champion.

The money of the Saudi group is practically unlimited, so Newcastle got the nickname “the richest club in the world”, and this was also seen after the results of the team from England, which immediately won a place in the Champions League.

Canal+ announced that Fr ank McCourt, the current owner of Marseille, will close the deal with the Saudis and the official transfer of the club to the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia will take place in January.

The amount for which Marseille would be sold will be around 400 million euros. If everything comes to fruition, in Ligue 1 we would witness an Arab “derby” with PSG, a club owned by a consortium from Qatar.

Once they get Marseille, the Saudis will begin to make a plan from a sporting point of view and everything would revolve around Zinedine Zidane, who has allegedly agreed to take over the Marseille club if it were to be sold to the Arabs.

The coach who wrote history with Real Madrid is expected to sit on the bench of the French team from January and the Saudis have promised him a transfer budget of 200 million euros.

Marseille are currently ninth in the league with 13 points from ten games and are managed by Italian legend Gennaro Gattuso.

As coach of Real Madrid, Zidane won three Champions League trophies, two La Ligas, two Club World Cups, two European Super Cups and two Spanish Super Cups.

The last time he managed Real Madrid was two years ago.
