Bayern legend convinced: Kane will break Lewandowski’s record

Harry Kane has started his adventure at Bayern Munich wonderfully, scoring very important goals.

The English striker has scored 17 goals and assisted five others in 11 matches in the Bundesliga, leading the list of top scorers in the German football elite.

However, the Englishman will have a task in front of him to break the record of the Polish Robert Lewandowski.

The Polish international was outstanding in the 2020/21 season, scoring 41 goals in the Bundesliga and adding seven assists.

Bayern legend Lothar Matheus is confident Kane will break Lewandowski’s record with 25 games to go.

“After maintaining the positive trend against difficult defensive teams like Dortmund and Heidenheim, I am convinced that Kane will break Robert Lewandowski’s record. The road is long, only a serious injury would make it impossible, but I don’t believe it, considering the resistance of the Englishman”.

“He has played in the Premier League, the most dynamic championship, and he has succeeded, while Germany is somewhat softer in intervention. The interpretation of the wedge of champions in a really special league”.

“The mastery in stopping the ball, the execution of the shots, the calmness and the support he gives to his teammates has raised Tuchel’s group so high,” declared Matheus.
