France cruised to an incredible 14-0 win over Gibraltar in their seventh European Championship qualifier.

They came close to closing the cycle with a perfect result, having achieved seven triumphs in seven matches so far, while they had reached qualification earlier.

Ethan Santos scored an own goal, while Kylian Mbappe added a hat-trick.

Kingsley Coman and Olivier Giroud scored two goals each, while Marcus, Thuram, Warren Zaire-Emery, Jonathan Clauss, Youssouf Fofana, Adrien Rabiot and Ousmane Dembele added one each.

This is the deepest victory in the history of European Championship qualifiers.

Earlier, the record was held by Germany after the victory over San Marino with a score of 13-0.

France had earlier secured qualification for Euro 2024, where it is expected to be one of the main contenders.
