With Pierre Kalulu ruled out for several months, Milan are looking for options to replace Theo Hernandez, including Juan Miranda and Quilindschy Hartman.
It has been known for years that the Frenchman is irreplaceable and the search for someone who can fill him in or at least give him time to rest will continue in the January transfer window.
This is after Kalulu underwent an operation to tear the thigh muscle and will be out for four months.
The absolute favorite is Miranda, as multiple reports in Spain already suggest that Milan have a basic agreement to sign him as a free agent next summer, when his contract with Real Betis expires.
However, they are also hoping to convince Betis to part with the left-back in January for a minimum fee.
Another candidate mentioned by Tuttosport is Feyenoord talent Hartman, who just turned 22 last week.
He has already made three appearances for the Netherlands, scoring one goal, and is a product of Feyenoord’s youth academy.
The contract was only recently extended until June 2026, helping to increase his asking price to over €20 million.
